The Liebherr SFFfg 4001 and SFFfg 5501 Performance are explosion-proof laboratory freezers for storing flammable substances in sealed containers. Both models comply with ATEX classification < Ex > II 3/- G Ex ec IIC T6 Gc/-. The units are suitable for placement in laboratories with enhanced safety requirements. The housing and door are finished in white steel.

The temperature range runs from -9 °C to -30 °C. The factory default temperature setting is -20 °C. Minimal temperature fluctuations ensure stable storage conditions. Min and max temperatures are continuously recorded and can be read directly from the display. Both models feature visual and audible temperature alarms and a potential-free contact.

The freezers are suitable for ambient temperatures from +10 °C to 35 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 75 percent, non-condensing. The interior is finished in white plastic and easy to clean. Network integration is optionally available via WLAN or LAN. The units are suitable for use in cleanroom environments conforming to GMP Class B and ISO Class 5.
