Compact Medicine Refrigerator Compliant with DIN 58345

The Liebherr MKUv MediLine series is developed for the storage of medicines in pharmacies, general practices and laboratories. The models comply with DIN 58345. The temperature is set to +5 °C with a tolerance of ± 3 K. This makes the refrigerators suitable for temperature-sensitive medication.

The net capacity is 109 litres. The gross capacity varies per version. Both models are suitable for ambient temperatures from +10 °C to +35 °C and fall within climate class 4. The refrigerant is R600a and the current rating is 1.0 A.

The self-closing door and adjustable shelves make daily use practical. If desired, AluCool medicine drawers can be placed as an accessory. The models are undercounter-mountable, built-in-ready and can be placed against a wall.

Temperature Control and Alarms

The MKUv models feature a digital temperature display on the outside. Operation is via push-buttons. The temperature is continuously monitored and min and max values are stored. Temperature recording during power failure remains active for 12 hours.

There is a visual and acoustic temperature alarm. An acoustic door alarm is also present. During power failure, an alarm is activated immediately. Alarm limits are adjustable and alarm notifications are recorded.

The models feature an RS 485 interface and a potential-free contact. Network integration is optionally possible. Both versions comply with DIN 13221 and are certified according to DIN 13277.

Construction and Interior

The housing is made of white steel. The interior is made of white plastic according to the HardLine design. Both models feature three height-adjustable shelves. The load capacity is 45 kg per shelf.

The MKUv 1610-23 has a steel door. The MKUv 1613-22 features an insulating glass door and LED ceiling lighting. For the glass door version, the interior lighting is separately switchable.
