The Liebherr SFFsg 4001 and SFFsg 5501 Performance are laboratory freezers with a temperature range from -9 °C to -30 °C. Both models are suitable for GMP Class B and ISO Class 5 cleanroom environments. The factory default temperature setting is -20 °C. The housing and door are finished in white steel.

SmartFrost technology limits ice build-up in the freezer compartment. The system operates statically and requires manual defrosting. Minimal temperature fluctuations support stable storage conditions. Min and max temperatures are continuously recorded and can be read from the display. Both models feature visual and audible temperature alarms and a potential-free contact.

The interior is finished in white plastic and easy to clean. The shelves are made of plastic-coated material. The SFFsg 5501 is equipped with LED ceiling lighting for improved visibility of stored materials. Network integration is optionally available via WLAN or LAN.
