The Thermo Scientific Megafuge centrifuges are developed for daily laboratory applications in clinical diagnostics, research and industrial environments. The series includes compact benchtop models and robust floor models with high flexibility in rotor and sample choice, allowing diverse protocols to be performed with a single platform.

Flexible capacity and broad rotor choice

Megafuge centrifuges support both swing-out and fixed-angle rotors. Capacities range up to 4 × 1,000 mL with swing-out rotors and up to 25,830 × g with fixed-angle configurations. This makes the Megafuge suitable for tubes, conical tubes, bottles, microplates and blood collection tubes. Compatibility with Fiberlite carbon fibre rotors reduces rotor weight and supports rapid acceleration and deceleration.

Reliable operation and safe use

Operation is tailored for easy and reproducible use. Depending on configuration, Megafuge models feature a touchscreen or high-contrast LCD interface. Automatic rotor locking, imbalance detection and controlled acceleration and braking profiles protect samples and equipment. The construction is suitable for use in regulated laboratories and supports consistent results.
