The Thermo Scientific Cryofuge 8 and Cryofuge 16 centrifuges are designed for reliable and reproducible processing of blood products in blood banks and transfusion laboratories. The systems support high throughput and align with existing validated protocols. Thanks to the compact design and high loading capacity, they are suitable for intensive daily use in regulated environments.

Flexible capacity and rotor choice

The Cryofuge series offers flexibility for different processing volumes. The Cryofuge 8 supports 6 or 8 blood bags per run, while the Cryofuge 16 is optimised for 12 or 16 blood bags per run. The centrifuges work with HAEMAFlex swing-out rotors and a wide range of adapters for common blood bag formats and tubes.

Reproducible results and ease of use

The ACE function for Accumulated Centrifugal Effect automatically adjusts run time based on actual g-force loading, achieving consistent separation results regardless of variations in rotor loading. The Centri-Touch touchscreen interface supports rapid protocol setup and clear monitoring. Auto-Door, Auto-Lid and Auto-ID rotor recognition reduce manual actions and operating errors.
