The Thermo Scientific TSX Series -20 °C enzyme freezers are developed for stable storage of enzymes and other temperature-sensitive reagents. These models combine manual defrost with a cold-wall cooling system. This effectively prevents temperature fluctuations that can occur with automatic defrost cycles.

V-Drive Technology and Cold-Wall Convection Cooling

The freezers use V-Drive variable compressor technology that continuously adapts to the load. Combined with cold-wall convection cooling, this results in a uniform temperature distribution and fast recovery after door opening. This supports consistent storage conditions at a setpoint of -20 °C.

Practical Use and Safe Sample Protection

Both models are supplied as standard with enzyme baskets for organised storage. The lockable door, visual and acoustic alarms and battery back-up enhance sample safety. Thanks to the low noise level, the freezers are suitable for placement directly in the laboratory.
